The name of the book and the first page both suggest this is some twin saga. But it’s much more than that. Maralys – not sure how to pronounce it – runs an online agony aunt type business and builds websites. Her twin is living the picture perfect dream with a rich husband and two kids. Until she walks out on them. Maralys is left to contend with two heartbroken nephews and a brother –in-law she doesn’t really like.
The Coxwells are facing financial ruin post their lady’s walkout. Maralys steps in and helps them restructure their lives. In the process they discover life lessons in relationships. Love blossoms gradually between Maralys and the kids’ father. Although the concept sounds tacky and predictable, it is handled well by the author. There are many bittersweet emotions here and you want more of these characters. I really enjoyed the snippets from the advice column that are interspersed through the book.
I could read the Double Trouble book more than once, which means it is a must read. Grab it now and hunker down for a cozy read. Funny and poignant at the same time, there is never a dull moment here.
