A delightful Regency romance, Scotsmen Prefer Blondes is the love story of a troubled laird and a reluctant English spinster. The duty bound Earl fights his attraction to his secretive English guest but is drawn closer.
Amelia has a dark secret she is sure no man will ever approve of. She has decided to stay single and live alone in a remote cottage writing her novels. Fate intervenes and she finds herself trapped with her host, a devilishly handsome Scottish laird who makes her toes curl. Much to the chagrin of her impoverished spinster friend who was supposed to be the Earl’s match, Amelia has to go ahead with the wedding. Ameila’s secret spells death for her husband’s ambitions, and is better left buried. But revenge is sweet and more than one person wants it. Will passion be enough to fan the aftermath of a scandal that sets tongues wagging?
I loved this book for the story. It is nice to read about dresses and balls sometimes, but I prefer books that have some kind of story line. An old Scottish castle is a great setting for a budding romance. There is not a lot of conflict here and we know it’s going to end on a positive note. You are set for some sweet dreams with Scotsmen Prefer Blondes.
